Seeing Liu Ruyan's reaction, Long Chen knew he couldn't argue with Chu Yao. He finally agreed.

"In a while, we'll sneak over quietly. I need both of you to cooperate and get me close to that old guy. I just need one opportunity up close," Long Chen said.

"Is this safe? Why don't I go instead?" Liu Ruyan and Chu Yao were shocked, speaking simultaneously.

Long Chen shook his head. "Your combined strength might surpass mine, but both of you belong to the plant system, sharing the same source of power. It's difficult for you to deal a fatal blow to him."

In reality, strong individuals of the plant system possessed tenacious vitality, limiting the damage they could cause to each other. Unless absolute suppression was achieved, it was challenging to kill one another. This was also why Lady Xihua didn't want to kill that old man, and why the old man, though anxious, showed no fear. Seeing Lady Xihua about to kill, the old man didn't dare to linger anymore, planning to utter a few harsh words and then escape.

Suddenly, in the distance, a towering ancient willow turned into millions of branches, converging into a sharp sword that pierced their battlefield barrier, aiming straight at him. It was Liu Ruyan making a move.
